Amber to the rescue...

Ok Ok...no I know I promised pictures and all that jazz unfortunately being up with the times is not as easy as it seems. It appears that I need some type of software to be able to upload my pictures from my digital camera to the computer. I have plugged the camera in (correctly) and it keeps prompting me to download/update the software. This can only mean one thing. I am going to have to endure digital camera 101 with Amber so she can fill me in on what the hell I am doing. I do have some wonderful photos of Derby and they will be up sooner than later. Until then the only unphotographed news I have is that I got a "B" in my microbiology class. I was very proud of that. It appears I do have what it takes to be a successful student after all. That's all the excitement this week until the bridal shower/bachelorette party on Saturday. I thank you for your patience with my technical difficulities and I promise all the kinks will get smoothed out soon. G'Day.

I'm up with the times...Finally

Just wanted to let everyone know that I now have a digital camera. Thanks to my beautiful sister Shannon and her sweet, crazy husband Charles my blog is about to gain what it has lacked most from the beginning...Illustrations. There is a lot coming up this month so I am oh too excited to pick up the pace with my blog. Hoping I can find the time around all these fun events in May. This weekend (5th-7th) I will be experiencing Derby first hand for the first time going pretty first class with Matt and the people he works with at Winstar Farm (Go Bluegrass Cat!), and attending a derby party back here in Lexington that is sort of a default birthday celebration for Matt. I enjoy the three weeks of the year when I am older than him (even though he acts more mature than me most of the time) but on Sunday we will be the same age again.

The next weekend on Saturday the 13th I will be attending my first wedding shower ever in the morning and first bachelorette party ever in the evening. Ms. Brooke Butler only has a few weeks left before becoming Mrs. Brandon Benke and we are going to make sure she still has it in her to go a little crazy! Of course we can't forget that SUNDAY MAY 14 IS MOTHER'S DAY!!!! I will have to work the brunch in the morning at the Lafayette club but then plan to join my wacky family for some wild mother's day adventure. The 14th is also Matt's brother Mike's birthday so perhaps we'll do a little celebrating with him at some point.

The third weekend in May (19th-21st) there is no time for a break. The 19th Brooke and all 9 of her brides maids will be having fun doing wedding preparation stuff and having the rehearsal dinner. The 20th Brooke will walk down the isle to be officially and legally joined at the hip with Brandon Benke. He's a real sweetheart and they are a great couple. Brooke sure knows how to pick 'em and Brandon is one lucky sucker to have Brooke as his number one lady in life. It will be an outrageously fun event out on Brooke's parent's farm where the 300+ people who have been invited to the wedding will be gathering for the ceremony and reception. I hope nobody get's too drunk to wake up in time for my baby shower on Sunday the 21st, but the shower is in the late afternoon from 3-5pm at Amber's house in Lexington (Need directions just ask) so it shouldn't be too problematic for anyone to make it. There will be good food, good people, and good fun for all to partake in. Maybe if you're lucky baby Benjamin Ace will kick you.

That's just the weekends...let's not forget about Cinco de Mayo May 5th, Amber Christine Scott's 28th birthday party at Champs on Tuesday May 16, and Betsy Curry Hensley's graduation on May 23rd. I think that covers mostly everything...at least everything I know about. So this is obviously the most eventful month so far this year and you'll be able to read (and see) all about it right here on my blog. Stay tuned for all the pictures!!!
