This Just In!!

Early yesterday morning (2-16-07) Benjamin Ace Messer was awakened by his dad getting ready for work. His mother was quickly awakened to entertain her son. Leiah Hensley picked up young Benjamin to put him in her bed in hopes that it would entice him to go back to sleep. Shortly after laying down together Benjamin decided he wanted to chomp on his mother's index finger. It was at this time that an extatic Leiah Hensley discovered that Benjamin was sprouting his first tooth. A bit in disbelief she said to Ben's father, "Matt I think he's getting a tooth...feel this" and to that Matt replied, "Yep, that's a tooth!" It is just a little bit of white poking through but it sure is cute.Being just one day over five months old, Ben has been quite a trooper through the development of his first tooth. He hasn't lost much sleep, hasn't run a fever or had diarrhea, and hasn't been too overly fussy and when it seems to be bothering him a little infant tylenol does the trick almost immediatly. His parents are very proud of him and are looking forward to all the new developments that will be presenting themselves over the next few months. HOORAY FOR BEN!!

Milestones

As Benjamin Ace approaches the five month mark he has officially mastered the following firsts in life:
Discovering hands and that he has control of them
Rolling over from tummy to back
Cooing
Gurgling
Razzing
Reaching for everything
Discovering toes and that he has control of them
Standing while holding on to mom
Fighting sleep
Protesting when you try to take away the soggy piece of paper he's trying to eat
Sitting up with support
Holding objects
Stealing mommy's glasses
Pulling hair
Chomping on things
The Johnny Jump Up
Eating rice cereal
Smiling
...And stealing hearts!
