Hello...

Sorry I suck. I know I have been a major slacker and my baby excuse is forever old and wearing thin but I assure you it still holds true. If I try to get on the computer while Ben is awake my posts would look something like this...

hkajeofdvgfihnaadlkjgfvasdikfj adjf aoiefj aoeijh ga'jolijgfvhd;figh;h ; djlkjlkmna jklkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkllllllllllllllllllllkjj;klllllllllllllslkjaggggggggggfjadikjaolxod2w354 bfdsg b...

and so on. It appears my little man is an electronics freak like his father. He has to touch the computer if it is anywhere within his reach and he can make things happen that I've never seen before on a computer. He has also discovered the buttons on the television and has no problem reaching them. The remote and him are good friends too. He thinks it is fun to rewind or fast forward the TV while we are watching it and I am pretty sure he has ordered an On Demand movie once or twice. He has also figured out how to play the videos and ringtones on my cell phone. The ringtones are accompanied with their own videos so he plays them and dances while he watches. Oh the cell phone...or the house phone for that matter. I cannot use either of these phones without putting it on speaker so Ben can talk too or giving him the one I am not using so he can push buttons and not hang up on the person I am trying to talk to.

He hasn't taken those first steps yet but he cruises (walks holding on to whatever he can) around everywhere and is a distinguished bulldozer...I mean crawler! He will go through any obstacle he finds with no hesitation at all. He has a lot to say these days and flirts with ALL the pretty ladies. He shows his pearly whites (all (almost) 12 of them) and they are putty in his hands.

He loves music. Just the other day he was bustin' a move to "Dancing Queen" (a favorite of his dad's and evidently the apple doesn't fall far!) He's got some moves his Auntie Am would be proud of. I took video of his dancing queen act on my cell and am going to email the footage to myself so hopefully I can find a way to post it. Either that or I will send them on to his more technologically advanced relatives and let them post it. He is also very talented with a wide variety of instruments including piano, guitar, drums (anything he can beat on), Bean jar (an empty formula can filled with beans and the lid duct taped on. I was barefoot and pragnet. What do you expect from me?!?!) among many others.

He is discovering where Ben's nose and Mommy's nose and Daddy's nose and Rimshot's (the cat) nose is. I think he is becoming familiar enough with the nose to know where anybody's nose is but so far we're the only ones who have played the nose game with him.

He enjoys reading very much. Our livingroom is rarely unscattered with various toys but his favorites include this set of little 2"x2" alphabet books. When we first set the books out for him to discover he really liked how they tasted and he ate half of the "F" book, half of "R", and the corners off many others. He has since stopped devouring the knowledge literally and has begun to really enjoy looking at the pictures and listening to Mommy read to him what the objects in the books are. And I am pretty sure he is beginning to identify some of the pictures. Every time he is looking at the "C" book, that contain an image of a cat, he makes the sweetest little high pitched squeak that I have come to know as his version of "meow". He can meow for real but he chooses to release it in a squeak. He has sqeaked at our cat for a while now and I figured that he was trying to speak her language, but it was confirmed when he saw the picture of the cat and meow-squeaked.

And his kisses...he has been a kiss factory lately. It is the cutest thing you will ever see in your life an something I will miss uncontrollably when he is too cool to kiss his mother. I'm talking mouth wide open, tongue sticking out, drool dripping uncontrollably planted smack onto my puckered lips four and five times in a row. These kisses are priceless. His hugs are priceless and plentiful too. He is such a "huga-lova baby" as we've come to call it. And he's totally got his mom wrapped around his little finger (if you can't tell)!
